As Greensboro Ballet celebrates its 60th Anniversary — our Diamond Season — the enchantment of The Nutcracker begins long before the curtain rises.
Join us for Tea with Clara, a cherished holiday tradition that creates unforgettable memories for children and families alike. This year’s “Vintage Nutcracker” theme transforms the Renaissance Room of the Carolina Theatre into a charming holiday gathering inspired by beloved Nutcracker traditions from generations past.
Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or experiencing the magic for the first time, Tea with Clara is the perfect way to make your Nutcracker outing even more special.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their holiday best and begin their adventure with an exclusive backstage glimpse of the Carolina Theatre. Then, step onto the very stage where The Nutcracker comes to life and learn Clara’s beautiful lullaby dance alongside members of the cast — an experience young dancers and dreamers will never forget.
Afterward, enjoy a festive celebration in the Renaissance Room featuring:
Tea, cocoa, or punch, along with a delicious assortment of seasonal treats.
A themed craft activity inspired by our Vintage Nutcracker celebration
An autograph booklet and special goody bag for every child
Photo and autograph opportunities with Clara and many of her friends from The Nutcracker

NOTES: This event is designed for children, so no adult tickets will be sold individually without at least one child ticket, as well. Tickets for Tea with Clara can be purchased along with The Nutcracker tickets, or not.
