About this session:
The WHO defines burnout as a syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. This workshop will help participants grow skillfulness in preventing and managing stress, while learning the difference between good (eustress) and bad (distress) stress. Work Wisdom will provide frameworks to help participants restore their work-life vitality and explore concrete practices to experiment with. Learning the practice of mindfulness is correlated with having more joy, compassion, and less stress.
Participants will learn growth-oriented and high-performance mindsets through increased self-awareness, re-framing, meditation, guided positive visualization, and practices that weave work-life integration, compassion, clarity, and focus into the workplace.
This program is FREE and available to Greenfield tenants, residents, students, and High coworkers. RSVP required.
About our presenter:
Dr. Tress is a clinical psychologist, educator, trainer, and consultant whose career focuses on partnering with people to pursue values-based living. She graduated with her doctorate in psychology (Psy.D.) from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she teaches graduate-level coursework in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Tress utilizes a functional contextual, behavioral approach to empower individuals and teams in fostering wellness, engagement, and quality improvement. Her approach emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance, and willingness strategies to bring about intrapersonal and systemic change.
