Transport & Address:

The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10.00am promptly.

Or you can meet us on site at 10.15am - we will meet at the vehicle gate on Chairborough Road/McLellan Place. The nearest postcode is: HP12 3UL. Free parking is available on the surrounding roads, please park considerately.

The minibus will return for 1pm but the rest of the team will carry on working so if you fancy staying into the afternoon, please bring a packed lunch and stay for the day.

Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:

We will be installing boardwalks along with some maintenance.

Cutting back paths and raking

Digging silt out of the pond

Litter Picking

Timings (please note these timings are approximate):

10.00: Minibus departs from Lido, please don’t be late!

10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing, begin work for the day

11.30: Tea & coffee break

13.00: Minibus arrives back at Lido, work finishes, time to go home!

What to bring:

Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.

Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.

Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain.

Please bring plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.

Volunteering and COVID:

Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
