Green-tailed Towhee Pop-Up Stakeout

Here's hoping this beautiful, rare visitor sticks around for a bit and ... if not ... no worries, the Botanical Gardens are still a lovely place to bird.

Let's here at the Maryland Avenue entrance. There coordinates are 38.88838, -77.01291, and we'll stroll through the garden to get to our friend (we hope!!).

WHAT TO BRING / OTHER INFO:

• Positive energy.
• Comfortable footwear for a walk on paved sidewalks and trails.
• Water and snacks.
• If you have binoculars, please bring them.
• There are no restrooms at the gardens.
• Parking is tight! Please observe the signs and meters. DCBA is not responsible for any fines / violations.

CANCELLATION: The walk will proceed in rain (best time to bird!), but will be cancelled in the event of heavy downpours or thunderstorm; cancellation will be at least 2 hours before meeting time. So please check before you head out.

2. Please change your RSVP is your availability changes so another bird lover can join us.
3. Please do not bring unregistered guests to this event. It's not fair to the flock on the waitlist and it's not fair to your guide.
