Green Roof Poetry brings together some of the Twin Cities’ most dynamic writers for an evening of literary readings. This Deaf‑centered program, hosted by an Indigenous poet, brings together a powerful lineup of Native, African American, LGBTQ, and Latino poets whose voices challenge, heal, and transform. The event celebrates intersectional identities and the stories that emerge when marginalized communities speak on their own terms. It is a gathering rooted in visibility, creativity, and collective strength.
Bring your blanket and relax for an evening of immersive lit experiences curated by writer, performer, and d/Deaf cultural consultant Cindi Martin. The evening begins with a drum circle, followed by lively readings from Shinana S., Trey P’orantes, Rodolfo Nieto, Obsidian James, and Cindi Martin, showcasing a range of writing styles performances.
Galleries are open late and free on Thursday nights from 5 to 9 pm.
