Understanding seasonal biology and host preference of Spotted Lanternfly in Tennessee - Dr. Midhula Gireesh, University of Tennessee

  • As Spotted Lanternfly is new to the Southern states, it is important to study the pest biology and host information for addressing IPM decisions. The webinar aims to provide research and Extension updates on spotted lanternfly from Tennessee.

Management of diseases in southeastern landscapes - Dr. Bikash Ghimire, University of Georgia

  • From root rot to leaf spots - the southeastern landscapes do not lack for challenging issues. We'll explore the most common and emerging plant health challenges affecting gardens and green spaces across our region. Learn how to identify key symptoms, understand the environmental factors that favor disease development, and apply effective, sustainable management strategies to keep ornamental plants healthy and vibrant. We will cover fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases seen in landscapes across the Southeast and provide practical guidance.
