Spring time is cleanup time! That means the Greatest American Cleanup is just around the corner. Why are we calling it the Greatest American Cleanup? To celebrate America's 250th Birthday! Keep America Beautiful has a goal to remove 25 billion pieces of litter from parks, waterways, and public spaces by July 4, 2026. We know they need all the help they can get - so time for our rockstar volunteers to get busy!
On March 7th we will have numerous cleanups throughout Pasco County. Where can you go and how do you register? We thought you'd never ask! Locations are on the registration link, and the link is on our website www.keeppascobeautiful.org. Registration closes on February 27th so no lollygagging. The reason we close registration is to make sure we have time to get supplies to all of our Captains. We still haven't found magical dolphins to do deliveries and the panthers are somewhat anti-social so we are relying on staff and volunteers to get all those amazing shirts out.
What do we provide? T-shirts shirts while supplies last, that are always in high demand because everyone knows they are awesome! We will also have trash bags and gloves. We will not have pickers. Why you ask? Because they are expensive and we try to reduce our cost as much as possible so we can have more of an impact. Stretching that dollar to the max.
