Summer is here and that means it is birdie season for Greater Wellington Disc Golf! As such, the club is once again organizing Centurion on Wellington Anniversary.What is "Centurion"?
It's a social event where "Car-horts" complete over 100 holes across the Greater Wellington region trying to collect as many birdies as possible. A team/"Car-hort" consists of 2-4 players (or as many as you can fit in your car). Bragging rights are awarded for best individual birdie performance and best total Car-Hort performance.
**Can anyone beat Johnny Wake's 58 birdie/2 ace performance from last year?
*Yes, aces/eagles count as 2 birdies
Where is it?
The 101 Holes for this year's event will be played at Harcourt Park, Hikoikoi Reserve, Poole Crescent Reserve (Wainuiomata) and the Berhampore Hills.
- Holes 1 to 36 are at Harcourt Park (2x Short/"Main Tees")
- Holes 37 to 54 at Poole Crescent Reserve (2x "Main Tees")
- Holes 55 to 80 are at Hikoikoi Reserve (3x "Main Tees")
- Holes 81 to 101 are at Berhampore Hills (2x "Main Tees")
Car-Horts may complete the event in any sequence they wish, but must score the round on UDisc using the hole allocations above.
All disc golfers are welcome to compete, so if you're interested/plan on competing, please post in the event discussion who's in your Car-Hort, as well as your Car-Hort name.
