About this Event

Time: The violin Play-in starts promptly at 2:00pm. Participants are welcome to arrive as early as they want to visit the museum but should be ready to perform by 1:45pm to allow time for unpacking, tuning, restroom, etc.

The lower strings Play-In starts promptly at 3:00pm. Participants are welcome to arrive as early as they want to visit the museum but should be ready to perform by 2:45pm to allow time for unpacking, tuning, restroom, etc.

Violin Play-In: 2:00-2:45pm
Cello/Viola/Double Bass Play-In: 3:00-3:45pm

*Cellos/Double Bass: Please bring your chair/endpin as needed.

Address: The Play-In will be held at the Please Touch Museum (4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia, PA 19131).There is no Zoom or virtual equivalent platform for this event. This is an in-person event.

Parking: A museum parking lot is available on site for a fee. Additional parking may be available around the museum. Student Participation Fee: Each student participating is $12 (+Tax). Families with multiple participating performers are asked to purchase $12 per student. All proceeds from this event help support our scholarship fund. All sales are final. Thank you for helping fund the Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association and for investing in music education and music perfomrance.

GPSA Member Teacher ONLY may participate for free. Please register for your free ticket by simply “purchasing” the appropriate ticket on this website.

Registration Play-In tickets are not sold the day of, at the door. GPSA is not equipped to take payment at the Museum. To register, please purchase tickets on this website according to the appropriate category of student.

General Information on Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association: GPSA is a non-profit organization that aspires to improve the quality of life through the Suzuki approach of music education. Performers in this event will include violin, viola, cello, and string bass of various ages and musical levels. A Play-In brings students and teachers from the area together in shared repertoire to present a fun and casual concert. Pieces will be performed in group style led by different Suzuki teachers. Pieces will be performed by memory. If sheet music is required please email [email protected]. Standard harmony parts are welcome!

By purchasing a ticket participants agree to having their photos taken or video recordings for social media posts. As this is a family event, we encourage families to create photo and/or video memories.
