Join us on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 6:30 PM for our Environmental Book Club where we will discuss: "A Most Remarkable Creature: The Hidden Life and Epic Journey of the World’s Smartest Birds of Prey" by Jonathan MeiburgFrom Goodreads - An enthralling account of a modern voyage of discovery as we meet the clever, social birds of prey called caracaras, which puzzled Darwin, fascinate modern-day falconers, and carry secrets of our planet's deep past in their family history.
Terry’s thoughts - This is a very interesting book. It is more about the people who study the striated caracaras than the birds themselves, but most of us will glean much fascinating information. I recommend it to even the most casual bird
watcher/lover. You will most likely become a fan and proponent for these birds. I wish I could have gone along with the writer on his excursions.
We always have great discussions, and all are invited whether you have read the book or not.
