About the Artist
Dana Lynn Harper (she/her) holds a BFA in Art & Technology from The Ohio State University and an MFA in Sculpture from Penn State University, where she was awarded the Bunton Waller Fellowship. Her work explores the complexities of racial identity and the role of materiality in restoring connections to cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from Catholic candelabras, altars, and sacred architecture, her sculptures take shape as ritualistic votive offerings, merging familial legacy with spiritual regality. Activated by ritual gestures; lighting candles, placing fresh flowers or filling vessels with offerings, she creates a living site of ceremony and collective remembrance.
