March is prime time for climbing in San Diego, and we're doing the Great Western Loop - Long miles on quiet and scenic roads. Whether it's your first time or a return visit, this favorite route is one best enjoyed in the company of good friends. We offer the classic loop and an extended option with an out-and-back to Pine Valley. Routes are the same until they diverge at mile 20. Both routes stop to refuel at Lyon's Valley Trading Post. An additional rest stop for those opting for the extended route is Mountain Super Market in Pine Valley (mile 36.5). We roll from Rancho San Diego Shopping Mall at 8 AM
