Join the Great Southeast Pollinator Census and become a citizen scientist! In just 15 minutes, you can help researchers collect valuable data on pollinators while supporting conservation efforts across 6 southeastern states. Simply observe a blooming pollinator plant, count the pollinators that visit, and submit your observations. Every count helps raise awareness, improve pollinator habitat, and protect the insects responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. Together, we can make a difference- one pollinator count at a time!
Don’t worry, during this special event at our Urban Demonstration Garden, Master Gardener Volunteers will offer a TRAINING SESSION before you begin. Arrive anytime between 9-12 to listen to a short 15-minute presentation (indoors) and get all the supplies needed to head out into the garden to do your pollinator count!
We will provide the count sheets, clip boards, garden stools and cold water. There is a restroom and parking on site.
FREE PARKING: Use the address 2640 W 1st Street for your GPS and park in the grass. It is a short walk to the garden and clubhouse.
This is a family friendly event and open to participants of ALL AGES! There is no cost to attend!
