Great Men featuring Dan Torpey

Be inspired as we kick off the new year by hearing the inside story of one of Ireland's greatest Saints. Learn about St. Patrick’s struggles, temptations and how his love for God and the Irish people changed an entire nation and drove the devil and snakes out of Ireland. This is not your storybook version about St. Patrick, as you will hear the tale that was handed down over the centuries through the tradition of Irish storytelling oral history.

Dan Torpey is 2nd generation Irish-American. Dan's Irish roots date back to days of the Celtic sea-traders of the Bronze Age. His ancestors include several known "Seanchi" which is the Gaelic word for historian or storyteller who traveled Ireland educating its people on their history, legends, and lore. When not telling stories or listening to Irish music Dan is a Forensic Accountant who investigates corporate crime during the day and lifts weights in the evening. Dan is also a lector at Mary Immaculate Parrish in Farmers Branch and married to his wife Patti for 29 years (also Irish) and has four adult children.
