Join Abigail's Trails on Mother's Day for a refreshing moorland walk. This is a 9-mile / 14km trail over Great Hill from the pretty village of White Coppice, and returning via the stunning Angelzarke reservoir. It is a really good mix of scenery, with some steep uphill sections, pretty waterfalls, reservoir views, paved pathways and rugged moorland views.
This will be moderate to hard in places, with a high chance of boggy ground. The total elevation is 1,360ft / 415m.
We will allow 4.5 - 5 hours for this route, taking our time to enjoy a lunch stop and taking in the scenery.
Well behaved, friendly (with other dogs and people), agile dogs are welcome (max. 2 per person). Children 8+ welcome.
This small-group guided walk is professionally led by Abi, a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance. Booking is essential, places are limited and cost £16 per person. Abigail's Trails specialise in inspirational small-group guided walks for education and connection. Our priority is your enjoyment and wellbeing.
