Join the Young Professionals group for a fall hike on Saturday, October 18th!Meet at St. James parking lot starting at 10:30am and we will leave by 10:45, and then we'll carpool over to Great Falls (~30 min drive) to do some hiking in the beautiful Great Falls park. If you are going to meet us at Great Falls parking lot, we will start the hike at 11:30. Bring a bag lunch and we will have a picnic at the falls. Should be back to the parking lot around 2:30-3.

Details:
We'll hike the Riverbend-Great Falls trail which is a ~3.8 mile loop, partly along the Potomac River (VA side) and partly through woods, and which enters the Great Falls park for a bit. It is an intermediate-level hike. It begins and ends at the Riverbend Visitor Center.
There is no entry fee when parking at the lot by the Visitor Center.

Bathrooms are located at the Visitor Center.
Be sure to wear good shoes and bring plenty of water with you. (and come pre-hydrated!)
Other useful things to bring are picnic blanket, sunglasses, a hat, sunblock, bug spray, snacks, and dress in layers for the weather! We'll keep an eye out for inclement weather and will update accordingly.
Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be leashed.
