June 16: Fascism A Warning. We will discuss fascism using, as a focus, Madeline Albright's 2018 book by this title. Additional suggested material on this topic will be sent out via email soon.
July 21: Rundown on Robotics. We will be reading about advancements in robotics using The Rundown Robotics website: https://robotnews.therundown.ai
August 18: Dark Enlightenment Rising: The Billionaire Experiment to K*ll Democracy. We will discuss the topic of the Dark Enlightenment using the article by Thom Hartman https://hartmannreport.com/p/dark-enlightenment-rising-the-billionaire-071?
September 15: Poverty by America by Mathew Desmond. We will discuss issues of poverty presented in Desmond's much acclaimed, provocative and compelling 2023 book. Desmond is a professor of Sociology at Princeton University and his previous book, Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award and the PEN/ John Kenneth Galbraith award.
October 13: Songs Can Motivate Change. How songs have motivated people to make important decisions that have changed and improved our world. We have a singer, songwriter, musician in our group who has offered to lead this topic.
