Update! For the next week there is a special discount for RV spots at the Campground at Margaritaville
The promotion code is PARADE24. It provides a 15% discount. It is good for stays 5/16 thru 5/21 with a 2 night minimum. It’s ok if you want to come in earlier or stay later. Good evening Patriots!! Hope everyone had a great weekend! We made the announcement on Friday that we will be hosting a land based event following the parade. The final details haven’t been hammered out but we will begin gathering about 11am on Saturday May 18th around the middle of the lake near Port Royal and Balus Creek. The commencement ceremony with the the singing of the National Anthem will be around 12 ( Noon ) then as in prior years we will parade south towards the dam and ultimately end at Margaritaville. They have graciously offered the entire property for our event and will be bringing in additional bar and food service providers for our event.
Thanks to Marc with Lake Lanier Water Taxi we will have 2 boats in the cove to act as a shuttle taking people from their boat to the dock and back during the entire land based event!
The bands will be
Pandora’s Box ( a tribute to Aerosmith )
Back in Black ( a tribute to AC/DC )
We will have an intermission where we will recognize all of our sponsors, thank all of our participants and honor our First Responders by giving them monies to help with a tragedy or hardship!
All of this will be followed by an incredible Fireworks display.
When you register for the Parade you will get a special link to Lanier Islands if you want to take advantage of a deeply discounted room and stay overnight. There is also a special discount code given that you can use to book an RV spot, cabin or tent at Camp Margaritaville! I can assure you that you will save at least double the cost of the $35 registration.
