Grassland Habitats at Halstead Hill Farm -Morning Session
About this Event
Learn about different types of grassland habitats from traditional permanent pasture to innovative herbal leys and discover the wildlife that calls these habitats home with agri-ecologist Professor Chris Stoate and regenerative farmer Dr Miriam Stoate.
Enjoy sweeping views across High Leicestershire with time to learn and ask questions about rotational grassland management for wildlife, rare breed sheep and soil health.
Chris, an agri-environmental researcher at the nearby Allerton Project for more than thirty years and Honorary Professor at Nottingham University, has also studied farmland ecology in southern Europe and West Africa.
Miriam grew up on a farm, researched land management in Thailand, Canada and England and enjoys welcoming groups to the farm
