Grasping for Air
An exhibition by Ale Iaccarino
Opening Reception: August 15, 2026
About this Event
Grasping for Air is a collection of paintings exploring intuition, memory, longing, and self-expansion. Through expansive skies, abstracted forms, and recurring gestures of reaching hands, the work examines the space between who we are and who we are becoming.
Created over the past year, these paintings emerged from a daily practice of listening inward—following instinct over certainty and allowing emotion, symbolism, and imagination to guide the process. Red hands stretch toward open skies, vessel-like forms hold both tension and possibility, and familiar shapes dissolve into something more felt than understood.
The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on moments of contraction and expansion in their own lives: the pull toward growth, the discomfort of uncertainty, and the quiet wisdom that exists beneath conscious thought.
Join us for the opening night celebration on August 15 to view the work, meet the artist, and share an evening of conversation, connection, and exploration.
