Have grapevines you are not sure how to prune? Join Alec Levin, SOREC viticulturist, in our Demonstration Vineyard to learn the ins and outs of pruning your vines as they age. Alec will cover pruning grapevines using two different training habits over the lifespan of your grapevine from planting to fruiting. Bring your gardening gloves and pruners if you have them!Dr. Alec Levin is the viticulturist here at the Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center. His research focuses on growing wine grapes in Southern Oregon. Alec has years of experience working with grapevines and testing out various growing conditions for these hardy plants.
Cost: $15 per person or sliding scale. Fees support the Master Gardener Program
Class size is limited to 12 participants. This same class will also be offered on February 26, 2026.
