Description:
The Grants for Small Businesses Workshop is designed to empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge and resources necessary to successfully identify and pursue funding opportunities. Participants will learn to navigate federal, state, and private-sector grants while gaining clarity on eligibility and application requirements. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: *Understand typical grant funding objectives. *Locate opportunities using Grants.gov, the Illinois CSFA database, and private-sector listings. *Identify specific grant types for which they may qualify. *Distinguish between federal grants, state economic development grants, and private sector grants to determine which align with their business goals. *Navigate the end-to-end grant process, including eligibility screening and pre-qualification. *Develop a basic grant readiness plan with practical management tips. Participants will leave with an understanding of major federal grants and the ability to identify actionable opportunities within the Illinois Catalog of State Financial Assistance (CSFA) portal.
