Granny's House: An Immersive Art and Fashion Exhibition
this earth too soon.
About this Event
Artist and designer Denzel Brown navigates grief by honoring the loved ones who left this earth too soon. Through handcrafted garments, knitwear, and nostalgic silhouettes, Granny's House explores memory, loss, and the enduring connections we carry with us.
Pittsburgh, PA - August 28th and 29th, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
Granny’s House is an immersive art and fashion installation that explores the lasting impact of home, heritage, grief, and memory. Inspired by the spaces and objects that remain after loved ones have passed, the exhibition reflects on how clothing, photographs, furniture, and personal belongings become vessels for stories, traditions and emotional connection. Through handcrafted garments, nostalgic silhouettes, and carefully curated environments, artist and designer Denzel Brown invites visitors to consider the people who have shaped them and the memories that continue to live on through the objects we leave behind. Presented by 1Hood Media and Don’t Play Corporation, Granny’s House blurs the boundaries between fashion, art, and storytelling to create a deeply personal yet universally relatable experience. The installation serves as both a memorial and a celebration, honoring the generations that came before us while encouraging reflection on the ways love, loss, and legacy are woven into our everyday lives.
