Grandparents’ Day 2026 at the National Museum of Singapore
Meet Singapore’s new generation of active seniors at the National Museum of Singapore’s flagship Grandparents’ Day celebration – a day dedicated to their stories, talents and passions!
This Grandparents’ Day, programmes rooted in our shared social histories invite generations to exchange stories, try something new and make memories that last. The festivities also complement the newly revamped Singapore History Gallery, where seniors’ lived experiences bring our nation’s story to life in a personal way.
The day is built around three pillars of active ageing and wellbeing: physical activity (#GetActive), social connection (#GetConnected) and good nutrition (#GetNourished). Rediscover beloved recipes with loved ones at What’s In Grandma’s Kitchen? An Intergenerational Food-Making Workshop while exploring food heritage, or get moving at Hands, Hearts & History: An Intergenerational Dance Movement Workshop where artefacts in the Singapore History Gallery inspire your steps.
Connect over shared passions at the Intergenerational Human Library, then drop by the Marketplace Booths for games, food samples and activities, with seniors sharing their stories first-hand. Be sure to catch the Seniors Talent Show and Intergenerational Fashion Show, where hidden talents and longtime dreams take centre stage through performances and upcycled fashion.
Co-created with partners including Lions Befrienders, Monfort Care, the Health Promotion Board, and Enterprise Singapore, the Museum’s Grandparents’ Day celebrations offer seniors a platform to serve the wider community while staying active, connected and engaged.
Join us at the National Museum of Singapore for a day of new discoveries and meaningful connections across every generation!
