Join our experienced docents for a 1 hour tour around the SCBCH to discover about the century-long history of SCCCI, the Singapore Chinese business community and its role in the development of Singapore.

Get a closer look at our artefacts and uncover their hidden stories. Among them is an archival document from the Qing Government, a 1964 plaque that recorded the names of companies and individuals who donated to the construction of SCCCI's new building, and a 1967 Medallion presented to the first batches of National Servicemen.

• Each ticket admits only one person/child. If you are coming along with your infant or child, please order a ticket for them as well.
• Please arrive 10 mins before the event, at Level 1, for registration.
• You may wish to bring a jacket, as the venue is air-conditioned.

• Registered participants who do not turn up for the event will be banned from future SCBCH events. Please cancel your ticket in advance if you cannot turn up.

The SCBCH is set up by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) in September 2022 at Level 4 of the SCCCI Building to promote national education and strengthen the national identity of Singapore.

Over the past century, the Chamber had witnessed the independence of Singapore and other historical developments. Through the display of various artefacts and interactive multimedia, the SCBCH exhibits the history of the Chamber and illustrates the story of the SCCCI Chinese Entrepreneurial Spirit.

The SCCCI building has stood at 47 Hill Street for over 60 years, standing as a prominent landmark and serving as a home to the Chinese business community.

Over its three transformations— Da Fu Di (1873–1962), Chamber building (1964–2017), and the refurbished Chamber building (2022– present)—the structure embodies the SCCCI's values and spirit, representing the concept of “home.”

As we mark the 60th anniversary of SCCCI building in 2024, this special exhibition invites reflection on the Chamber’s historical significance and its role in Singapore’s nation-building journey.
