Grandma Connie's Cuddles

Some of the most meaningful ministries begin with a simple idea and a heart full of love.

Grandma Connie's Cuddles was inspired by my mom, Connie, who loved Jesus and gave the most wonderful hugs. Her lap was always open for any neighbor kid who needed a cuddle. Her example reminds us that even the smallest gesture can bring comfort and a smile to a child.

Our mission is to recreate little handmade, palm-sized cloth dolls, similar to the one that she made. These dolls will be tucked into Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. Each one is lovingly hand-sewn and uniquely made. All have different clothes and hair colors, and each one has its own personality. There are boys and girls, and no two are exactly alike—just like the children who will receive them.

These little dolls may be small, but they carry a powerful message: You are loved. Someone made this just for you.

We're looking for volunteers to help assemble and sew Grandma Connie's Cuddles. The wonderful part is no sewing experience is required. If you can learn a few simple stitches, or trace and cut out a pattern, you can help to make a difference in a child's life.

This is a wonderful opportunity for:

- Anyone who would like to learn basic hand sewing while serving others

Whether you come with years of sewing experience or have never picked up a needle and thread, there's a place for you. Together we'll create something wonderful, enjoy fellowship, and share God's love one little doll at a time.
