Bank Art Gallery will reopen on Friday, May 8 from 6 to 9 pm with the launch of a new Living Exhibition, a dynamic approach that reimagines the gallery as an environment where art is not fixed in time, but continues to evolve and expand.The reopening will include the presence of Retablo for Body and Mind, a monumental installation by Andrés San Millán currently in progress within the gallery. The work, already drawing significant attention, will be on view as part of the opening night experience.
The new Living Exhibition transforms the gallery into an active, ongoing space where artwork is not confined to a single opening and closing date, but instead rotates, expands, and evolves over time. Designed to encourage repeat visits and deeper engagement, the gallery will remain fully installed while continuously shifting.
Set within the historic former Newburgh Savings Bank, the gallery’s architecture continues to play a central role in how work is experienced, with large-scale and immersive pieces becoming part of the environment itself.
Opening night on May 8 marks the beginning of this new chapter, welcoming the public back into a space built around continuity, presence, and return.
