Register today for the 2026 Grand Haven Boater Safety CourseDeputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff Marine Patrol will be teaching this one-day class that will end with a certification for all students.
Class will be held from 9am - 3pm on Saturday, March 14 at Grand Haven High School Large Group Instruction Room.
Who needs to take boater safety?
Any motorized boat operator born after June 30, 1996, is required by law to pass a boater safety course and to carry a boater education card. In addition, boater education is also required for all PWC operators born after December 31, 1978.
This class is open to ages 8+, students under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. If the adult is not attending to receive their certificate, they do not need to register.
$15 registration fee, bring a lunch & a #2 pencil.
