Step into the elegance, intrigue, and unforgettable stories of Saratoga Springs’ Gilded Age.In partnership with the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center, the Saratoga Springs History Museum invites you to experience Grand, Gilded and Glorious: A Saratoga Stroll, a 90-minute guided walking tour celebrating the legends, lore, and lavish history of one of America’s most iconic resort cities.
During the 1800s, Saratoga Springs became the playground of the rich, famous, powerful, and fashionable. From grand hotels and mineral springs to high society scandals, summer visitors, and the glittering social world of Congress Park, this tour brings Saratoga’s most fascinating stories to life.
The tour begins at the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center, continues through historic Congress Park, and concludes with a full guided tour of the elegant Canfield Casino, home of the Saratoga Springs History Museum. Admission to the museum is included with your ticket — a $15 value.
Whether you are visiting Saratoga for the first time or have called the Spa City home for years, this walking tour offers a fresh and entertaining look at the grand, gilded, and glorious history that shaped Saratoga Springs.
