‘A blues singer of real integrity’
Sunday Independent
Gráinne Duffy is an Irish contemporary rock voice with blues and soul roots. Her music comes from a well spring of R’n’R influences including The Rolling Stones, The Faces, Fleetwood Mac and The Allman Brothers.
Her new album which features an incredible all star line of Marc Ford (The Black Crowes and Lucinda Williams) on production and guitar, Kenny Aranoff on drums (John Fogerty and Elton John), Jorgen Carlsson on bass (Gov’t Mule), Paul Sherry fellow songwriting partner, on vocals and guitars and Justin Stanley on co-production and engineering (Eric Clapton and Bad Bunny). The result is an album of emotionally succinct rock’n’roll with carefully crafted lyrics, catchy melodic hooks and intertwining guitars reminiscent of the early Faces.
Following the release of her 2023 album Dirt Woman Blues, Duffy has made her name internationally as a touring artist playing many international stages and leading festivals playing Telluride and Mammoth and WC Handy festival in United States after gaining music radio success on the Roots Music Report charts.
The album charted at # 1 in the USA RMR Top 50 for 7 consecutive weeks and also reached # 2 in Australia Top 30 and #2 in UK IBBA Top 40.
Previously Duffy headlined and performed at many international festivals including Mahindra Blues Festival, India, Woodford Folk Festival, Australia, Tremblant Festival, Canada and Glastonbury Festival and Cornbury Festival, UK.
