After leaving university with a history degree, Graeme started off his working life with a series of unfulfilling office jobs but gradually realised that his love of exploring Scotland, together with his knowledge of Scottish culture and stories, was something he could mould into a career. He has now released a collection of tales from across the country in Scotland’s Stories, which he will bring to the PBF.Graeme doesn’t so much research a book as live it. When he is not writing or blogging he is travelling - visiting new openings of distilleries or museums; or learning the myths and legends of old standing stones; finding the best walks through and around Glencoe; or exploring Barra or the east coast of Fife.
Graeme also takes groups on bespoke tours of Scotland, but the tour he will offer us will be onscreen in the comfort of Currie Library, fuelled by oratory rather than diesel.
Graeme is very comfortable talking in front of an audience, whether as a public speaker at a storytelling evening or a Burns Supper, or leading a small group round Scotland, and so we expect a very relaxed, humorous, knowledgeable and entertaining evening discussing Scotland’s history.
