Grace Candido-Beecher with Special Guest Lorrie Kim

Main Point Books welcomes author Grace Candido-Beecher as she launches her first book, "Voldemort: The Definitive Study of Tom Riddle—the Man Who Would Become He Who Must Not Be Named." She'll be joined by special guest Lorrie Kim, author of "Snape," another title in the "Unofficial Harry Potter Character Series". These books are in-depth character studies/literary criticism, appropriate for readers from middle school through adult!

The event will be in our lower level event space. RSVPS are requested; walk-ins are welcome as space permits. The special edition sprayed-edge book is available for purchase at registration and will be for sale at the event.

About The Author and Guest

Grace Candido-Beecher is an avid reader, obsessive writer, illustrator, designer, coder, and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast. She’s been dreaming of writing Voldemort: An Unofficial Exploration since she was a 13-year-old zoning out in math class. In 2020, she became a co-host of the Alohomora! podcast, which paved the way to making the book of her dreams a reality.

Lorrie Kim lives in Philadelphia, PA where she quilts, bakes, organizes, and foments rebellion. She is the co-host of the "Harry Potter After 2020" podcast. She often writes about pop-culture and literary criticism with a focus on intersectional feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, and inclusive literature. She is a frequent contributor to fandom podcasts and Harry Potter academic conferences.
