Dr. Shannon Schmoll, Director of Abrams Planetarium at Michigan State University, has been a leader in astronomy education for many years. Her summary of recent astronomical advances and discoveries is always a highly anticipated feature at the annual Great Lakes Planetarium Association conference. A lot happened in 2025, and Shannon is the ideal person to share those highlights at our first meeting of the new year.
VENUE INFORMATION: Free parking in the Museum's parking ramp for GRAAA members. The Chaffee Planetarium is located on the second floor of the Grand Rapids Public Museum, accessible via stairs or elevator.
This event will begin promptly at 7:00pm, with doors open starting at 6:30pm. GRAAA meetings are free and open to the public, with pre-registration recommended to guarantee a spot.
