About this Event

Are you new to gouache, or new to painting on washi? All are welcome to this full day of colourful exploration with artist/instructor Megan Bray.

Through a series of studies including still life, landscape, botanicals, and playful mark making, we will experiment with gouache in varying consistencies and styles on several types of washi, putting these two versatile materials to the test.

Gain a deeper understanding of gouache, practice better control with brushwork and layering techniques, and discover the nuances each fibre type provides. Learn how to adjust your approaches to each paper’s unique qualities through experiments that will produce a variety of exciting results along the way!
