Join illustrator Nancy Hollis for a gouache painting demo focused on color theory and chromatic value. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to prep and paint on illustration board using just two complementary colors — burnt sienna and ultramarine — plus white to create a full range of values. We’ll explore how value, temperature, and color relationships interact while painting from a still life. The evening will include a mix of live painting demonstration and directed studio time so participants can practice the techniques themselves.
