The GOTHBATS are happy to be partnering with our friends at Crazy Gnome Brewery to present to you a NEW BIMONTHLY social event series we are all very excited about!
Are you: looking to make new friends, get to know your friends better (outside the club), for a place to bring your Baby Bats, or just looking for non club, low-cost, third space type events friendly to the goth and alternative community???? Then look no further as we have just what you need.
Our first installation in our event series will be our ALL-AGES Odd-i-tea Parallel Play Date, which will take place on Sunday September 27th from 1- 4 PM.
Why "Odd i Tea" you ask ? Because 1) is cute 2) we love a good tea and fermented drink🍷🍺🍵 3) are we not all oddballs who love odditites !? 4) we love chatting and 'spilling the tea' 🗣 5) we love some fun, weird word play 🤪🦇😈.
Why parallel play? Do you have a creative project you've been working on or meaning to start/finish? Do you need motivation or from your community or a kick in the butt to work on your project? We present to you the perfect opportunity to do so!
Parallel play is defined as playing or doing an activity adjacent to your peers without actually interacting or collaborating with them. Of course, we'd encourage you to do any level of socializing or collaborating you'd feel comfortable with!
For this parallel play date, we'd encourage you ODDballs to bring your own creative project to work on. Projects can include coloring books, knitting, puzzles, sketchbooks, creative writing, Legos, embroidery, etc. 🪢🧶🪡🧵🎨🖼🎭🧩✍️🏻✂️⛓️🖍🖌✒️🖇🧷 Whatever you can think of and are working on, bring it and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of parallel play with your fellow goths while sipping on some delicious Crazy Gnome beer 🍺
No project? No problem. We will be providing coloring pages, puzzles, and origami paper with instructions so you can join in on the play without prep. Crazy Gnome is a LGBTQ+ friendly brewery that has been open in East Nashville since 2020 and recently moved into a larger East location. Crazy Gnome has great, fair prices and has vegan/vegetarian food options and, in addition to their numerous delicious beers and cider, have N/A beers, sodas, and HOP WATER (different but good). Crazy Gnome's beer options range from traditional ales to stouts to IPAs to sours 🍻 . You may remember the owner Grayson, as he was also owner of the beloved Cyanide Cider, which is where we came to meet him running our events.
