Join us for a GORUCK Crawford County event where we will participate in Judith's Jig Memorial 5K! You are free to run it as well but we plan on rucking it in our most festive St. Patrick's green!Date: Saturday, March 14th
Time: 10 AM (registration starts at 9 AM and goes until 9:45 AM)

Meeting Location: Diamond Park Meadville (by the cannon balls)
Distance: 3.1 miles
Difficulty: Easy

A few important details:
-Don't forget to register before February 14th for your shirt
-Make sure to register as a walker if you're rucking
-Be there before 9:45 AM race day to register
-There will be an award for the "Greenest Participant" so dress to compete!

Children and leashed pets are welcome.
Essentials to bring: Water, appropriate footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a positive attitude.
No ruck? No problem! Walkers are always welcome to join us with zero shame. Empty backpacks work too! We all carry different weights according to our personal fitness goals.
Rucking is a form of physical activity that involves walking with a loaded backpack (or ‘rucksack’) over various distances and terrains. (Plate carriers and sandbags are also welcome.) A moderate amount of added weight can produce the same stimulus and metabolic benefit as running, while also strengthening the legs and lower back. Rucking is similar to hiking and is often used as conditioning by backcountry hunters, endurance athletes, and those in the military and emergency services.
