Gordie Howe Bridge and Windsor Ride

We will carpool to Detroit, parking near the Gordie Howe Bridge ped/bike entrance on Jefferson Ave, across from Old Fort Wayne.
We will cycle across the bridge, then begin a very interesting ride, seeing some of the sights, sounds, trails and streets of Windsor, Ontario. This will include a ride along Windsor’s Riverfront Trail, in full view of downtown Detroit across the Detroit River.
After stops at a brewery or two including dinner, we will return across the bridge, back to our vehicles. Then return to Okemos.
If the new bridge isn’t open by Oct. 4, we will do a Detroit ride instead.
Please bring the necessary documentation for the border crossings. What’s acceptable:
-Regular Driver License AND
ORIGINAL Birth Certificate*
-Enhanced Driver License
-Passport
-Passport Card
-NEXUS or FAST Card
*Original BC doesn’t mean the actual BC you were issued at birth 🙂 It means an official copy, with raised official imprint, from your birth state’s Vital Records office, the clerk of your birth county, etc.
