 When Google’s API documents leaked in 2024, it confirmed what a lot of us suspected: Google lies. And, in the wake of updates that virtually erased millions of pages from the search results, many sites are still struggling to rebuild their rankings. But, a lot of them are basing their efforts on Google’s words, which just aren’t grounded in reality:

· High-quality content is rewarded with better search rankings. (It’s not.)

· Google is totally cool with sites using AI-generated content. (Lol, no.)

· Backlinks don’t really matter and there’s no domain authority. (Lies.)

· Video content and engaging elements perform better. (Okay, that’s true.)
