What to expect

This half-day workshop gives you a practical introduction to Google Gemini and generative AI in education, delivered by Steve from Google and Jack from Fusion Networks.

You'll leave with the skills and confidence to use AI in your classroom and admin work, and you'll sit the Google Certified Gemini Educator exam right there in the session, no pressure, no separate booking.

What you'll learn

Understanding Gemini and generative AI

• What generative AI is and how it's different from other tech
• How Gemini fits into tools you already use, like Docs, Gmail, and Classroom
• Where AI can genuinely save you time (planning, grading, feedback, communication)

Using Gemini in your day-to-day practice

• Writing prompts that actually get you useful results
• Creating quizzes, lesson outlines, and rubrics with Gemini
• Building your own "Gem" for repeat classroom tasks, like bell-ringers or feedback frames
• Drafting emails and staff communications faster

Using AI responsibly

• Spotting bias, errors, and "hallucinations" in AI output
• Talking to students about plagiarism and responsible AI use
• Building your own classroom guidelines for AI

Sit your certification exam on the day

At the end of the session, you'll sit the Google Certified Gemini Educator exam in a relaxed, supported environment, straight after covering everything you need to know. No exam anxiety, no need to book or study separately later.
