Goodnight Swan - February 2, 2026

Join Skagit Land Trust as we say goodnight to the Trumpeter swans as they land and settle in at Barney Lake for the evening! Trust staff and local birding experts will lead you to viewing areas near the main part of the lake.

There, as the sun’s last rays reflect on the water, guests will listen as a chorus of migrating waterfowl end the day with squawks, honks, and general chatter. Hawks, eagles, and great blue heron also may be spotted during these visits. Bring your binoculars to get a closer look!
