Catherine Shotick, director of the Westerly Museum of American Impressionism, will tell the story of how the museum came to be, discuss highlights from the collection, and share plans for the years ahead.
Catherine is the inaugural director of the Westerly Museum of American Impressionism. Joining the museum in May 2023, and working alongside the museum’s founders, she has helped guide the museum from its early planning stages to its highly anticipated opening in October 2025. She has a master's degree in art history, with a specialization in American Art, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to this role, Catherine worked as a museum curator for 15 years, first in Oklahoma City and then Chicago.
