"The youth at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in LaCrosse has an exciting opportunity this summer. There are 12 teens and 4 adults attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this July. This event brings together teens from all over the country! The theme this year is "Created to Be" and we will dive into how we are created to be brave by showing up with an open mind and heart, and willingness to be challenged. Created to be authentic by bringing our whole selves and knowing we are loved by God. This will be an opportunity to not only grow in our faith, but to grow as servant leaders within our community.
On Thursday May 9th, most of these 12 kids will be at Pizza Ranch working to raise funds to support our attendance to the gathering. We will be flying to New Orleans at the end of July, and the gathering will last a week. Your support on May 9th will go towards the cost of the plane tickets, registration fee, and hotel costs of the trip. Thank you in advance for your contribution. You have no idea how much it means to us to have the community support!"
Their organization will get 10% of all sales between 4pm and 9pm on May 9th, as well as all cash tips given during that timeframe.
