Good Grief Walking
About this Event
Each week follows one of four core themes, to deepen reflection and connection. Join us at any stage:
1. Acknowledging the pain of grief – Creating space to recognize and validate the emotional, physical, and spiritual pain of loss.
2. Honouring memories of loved ones – Reflecting on and cherishing the stories, traditions, and moments shared.
3. Finding moments of meaning & connection - Noticing connections to nature, community, and self that bring comfort and perspective.
4. Moving forward with hope & resilience - Exploring ways to carry grief while also allowing space for healing, growth, and new routines.
Grief walks are gentle, nature-based gatherings where people experiencing grief or loss can come together in shared stillness, movement, and reflection. These walks are not intended to be a counselling or therapy session. They’re companionship in motion.
Complimentary coffee and conversation to follow, if desired.
This ongoing program is offered as a registered, group to ensure continuity, trust, and support among participants. Volunteers and facilitators guide each walk, ensuring safety, reflection, and connection throughout the journey.
Every Tuesday, starting at 9:45 am, participants are to meet at Genesis Place (south Field House entrance). If weather permits, walks will be outside. Otherwise, walks will be indoors at Genesis Place.
