To Remember.His head fell. What a terrible sight. The long-awaited King, the Promised Messiah, the Savior of the world—now dead. Good Friday sits far below every other bad day we’ve experienced. The single worst act of injustice. Even as you read these words, you’re probably anticipating hope. You’re waiting for those glorious three words: He is risen! You’re expecting it because you’re familiar with it. You know what’s coming. But he isn’t risen. At least not yet. His head fell and it will remain that way a little while longer. Oh no! What did we do? It was our sin that put Jesus Christ on the Cross. Crucifixion. We killed God—sit with that for a moment. Join us on Good Friday to look at the Cross. To consider the great sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf.
