Renowned raconteurs will be telling their stories at Pittencrieff House, Dunfermline on Thursday the 27th of February.
The event will be hosted by professional storyteller Beverley Bryant against the backdrop of ‘Good and Evil’ - an exhibition of paintings and death masks by Ian Moir
British Indian storyteller Peter Chand is one of Europe’s most renowned storytellers and is constantly in demand for his tales of life, love, and the supernatural. From a Punjabi background, he regularly visits family in Inda to collect and translate traditional folktales which he shares with audiences of all ages. For Good and Evil he will be sharing two traditional stories from his highly acclaimed show Dark Tales from India, which will reflect some of the themes in the exhibition, such as life, death, taboos, and sexuality.
Skids frontman Richard Jobson will then be reading from his latest novel, Another Dead Soul, which tracks the exploits of a malevolent music promoter.
There will also be a performance by Dunfermline opera singer, Frances McCafferty, as well as instrumental music by Heather Yule to adding an ethereal quality to these dark tales.
“This is going to be an amazing and unique experience for people in Dunfermline. It presents a final opportunity to see the exhibition inside this wonderful building.” - Ian Moir
