In honour of a remarkable 35-year journey, the world music group GongMyoung arrives in Tallinn.
Their distinctive sound, weaving bamboo resonance with joyful rhythms, echoes the shared heartbeat of Estonia and Korea.
This performance is a tribute to our shared past and a toast to the future we continue to build together. Through the universal language of music, we celebrate a friendship that knows no borders.
Since its debut in 1997, GongMyoung has enriched the lyrical heritage of Korean traditional music with dynamic rhythms. The ensemble's distinctive sound blends its own handcrafted bamboo instrument — also named gongmyoung — with a wide range of wind and percussion instruments.
Having given more than 200 performances in approximately 60 countries, GongMyoung has established itself as one of Korea's leading ensembles bringing contemporary Korean music to audiences worldwide.
