Golden Hour: Eagles on the Hudson

Watch eagles foraging the river for their evening meal amidst the glow of the sun setting over the Palisades. Explore The Center at Mariandale with Westchester Land Trust’s Program Manager, Kim Fendrich, Conservation Easement Manager, Jody Hughes, and The Dominican Sisters of Hope, who take great care tending to this land.

Bring binoculars if you have them and please leave your pups at home!

Day + Time: Saturday, March 7, 4:30-6pm (Rain date: March 8)

Getting there + parking: 299 N Highland Ave, Ossining, NY 10562. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to find parking and the meeting location. Park in the main lot and enter through the left side of the main building, through the Shield Door, not the front door. We will gather in the River Room. There are restrooms on site.

Accessibility: We’ll walk about 1 mile round trip on wide trails across varied terrain that may include grass, wooded areas, and a gently sloping hill. Some areas may be muddy.

Safety: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dress warmly in layers and bring polarized sunglasses to reduce the glare on the water.
