✨Some information pertaining to our upcoming Golden Girl Pageant✨
This fun and heartwarming event is designed to celebrate the women who helped shape our community and honor the charm, history and spirit of Avon Park as we kick off our Centennial Celebration!
👑 This is meant to be SIMPLE, FUN and MEMORABLE.
Contestants will fill out a contestant information sheet with fun questions such as:
✨ How long have you lived in Avon Park?
✨ What’s your favorite thing about Avon Park?
✨ What’s something you wish people knew about Avon Park?
✨ What’s your favorite local business?
✨ And more!
As each contestant walks and waves, their answers and story will be read aloud for the audience to enjoy. ❤️
✨ IMPORTANT DETAILS ✨
• There will NOT be a stage. We want this event to be comfortable and accessible for everyone.
• Contestants will walk across the floor in front of a beautifully decorated Roaring 20’s themed backdrop.
• Contestants must dress in Roaring 20’s attire after all, Avon Park was incorporated in 1926! 🖤✨
• No outfit changes.
• No on-stage speaking, talent portion or complicated routines.
• This is designed to be easy, enjoyable and stress-free for all participants.
• If a contestant needs assistance walking, they are more than welcome to have an assistant accompany them. We simply ask that assistants dress in Roaring 20’s attire as well.
