Howdy y'all! Lend us an ear & let us invite you to Golden Acres' 3rd Fall Duo’s Tournament.
When: 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26th, 2026
Where: 13689 County Rd 43, Chesterville, ON, Canada, K0C 1H0
***Cost Per Player: $55CAD***

Squads are REQUIRED to register in advance. Squad payment to be sent to [email protected].
What is a duo's tournament you may ask? In this tournament format, you will register with a partner of your choice & form a squad.
Each game will consist of 3 rounds, where 2 teams play against each other.
Each team is formed by 3 squads chosen at random.
The exciting aspect of this tournament format is that you'll be playing with different squads in each game. Our goal is to allow everyone a chance to play with each other.
***Expected Event Schedule***
9:00 - Personal Equipment Safety Testing & Squad Registration
9:15 - Rule Overview & Meet our Referee
9:30 - Round Robin Games
12:30 - Lunch Break
13:00 - Continuation of Games
***But What Should I Wear & Bring!?***
Standard equipment: bows & masks will be provided, but bringing your own masks/helmets is definitely encouraged.
PLEASE bring/wear appropriate footwear & clothing for an OUTDOOR asphalt/astro-turf arena.
The property is in a wind tunnel so the temperature & weather can vary greatly throughout the day so be advised, & dress accordingly.
There is plenty of green space on the property, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, snacks & whatever comforts/entertainment you'd enjoy.
***Personal Equipment***
For those who are interested, we will be allowing players to bring their own bows. However, they MUST be registered for assessment by our referees & hosts, before they are able to be used in games.
They will be put through a series of tests to ensure they operate within safe limitations & similar capacities to the bows provided by Archery Games, Archers Arena, etc. To ensure the use of personal bows please deliver your bow to the venue at 9AM on the day of the event to be eligible for testing.
***Arena***
Fully fenced in, outdoor tennis court, Astro-turf/asphalt playing field, similar to outdoor basketball courts. Some slight differences will be that the field will not be wall to wall. There will be clearly marked edges on the field, this will be an area for officials & “out” players to pass through safely. Our head ref will be also be on an elevated podium similar to in tennis or volleyball. There will also be a line ref on the opposite side of the field.

You can confirm you are going to the right location if "Dejong Welding and Repairs" is nearby on the map. Please ensure you double check before you head out.
The venue for this event will be at our house just outside of & south of the city. Our house is surrounded by corn fields & we have very nice, very far away neighbors. This event is not just for players so please feel free to bring your families, partners & friends!
***Day of the event there will be portable toilets, shaded areas, as well as entertainment made available for attendees.
We understand it is a bit far for those of you without transportation. Which is why we are offering a few different options to make this event as inclusive as possible.
1. Camp Out: We’d like to invite you all to stay over the night before & after! With plenty of open ground for people to camp out, all you need to bring is your camping gear. There will be access to the BBQ, potties & external power.
*BONUS* Archery equipment will be on site the day before the tournament for those of you who might want to get a bit of practice in.
2. Carpooling: If anyone isn’t able to secure a ride out to the event, please don’t be shy to comment on this event or in the Golden Acres Archery Community Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/share/g/195acLQNEY/). I’m sure there are many people who will have a few extra seats, you’ll just have to tolerate their taste of music 😜
